The Great Wall Marathon will take place next Saturday and preparing for it has proven to be quite an experience. Running laps in prepraration for previous Marathons, in my memories at least, was a doddle but this time I have found it much harder to get the will to prepare as the event demanded. A “knee” which hinted that it might not want to participate, never quite lived down to expectations, leaving me with no excuse but to continue.
