Museo Nacional del Prado of Spain will hold its largest exhibition in China. The exhibition named Ages of Splendor: A History of Spain in the Museo del Prado will take place at the Museum of Art Pudong in Shanghai from April 23 to Sept 1.
It will showcase 70 original paintings selected from the collection of Prado, 16 of which will be leaving Spain for the first time, and nine will be out of their home in Prado for the first time.
On exhibition will be about 50 important artists' creations, such as Titian, Veronese, Rubens, Goya, and so on.
The Prado, which opened in 1819, houses the world's richest and most comprehensive collection of Spanish works, as well as masterpieces of other schools of European paintings, especially Italian and Flemish art.
