Naked pig skiing festival draws crowds in Jilin

Skiers in bizarre outfits — and various degrees of undress — took part in the Second Naked Pig Skiing Festival on Saturday at the Wanfeng Tonghua Ski Resort in Tonghua city, Jilin province.

Participants in various superhero and anime cosplay outfits also participated in a competition called "Dragon Crossed the River", in which skiers descend from a snowy peak, and their momentum carries them into a pool of water at the bottom.

Braving the cold, competitors showcased their skiing skills and courage on the snow.

The festival originated at Colorado's Crested Butte Mountain Resort in the United States. It provides a lighthearted way for people to get close to nature as the weather warms.
